History

In 1997 Pastors Charles and Jennifer Seip lived in Modesto, California, where they were Youth Pastors and Outreach Coordinators under the direction of Pastor Charles Cooper of Sonshine Outreach Center, Pentecostal Church of God.

In 2000, Pastor Chuck became a licensed Minister and he and his wife Jennifer were appointed Associate Pastors. They continued their duties as Youth Pastors and Outreach Coordinators and assumed the additional duties of Associate Pastors. Working as a team, they implemented many programs for underprivileged and at risk youth, gang members, prostitutes, and adults with addictions and various mental health and social issues. They also implemented a bible-based ministry "Bible Boot Camp" for at risk children coming from dysfunctional homes where addiction, prostitution, and parents in prison were considered the norm.

In 2002, both Pastors Chuck and Jennifer Seip were ordained through Holiness Tabernacle under Pastor Frank Seamster. Pastors Chuck and Jennifer also had an active ministry preaching and teaching throughout Northern California as well as several invitations to the Philippines.

In 2004 Pastors Chuck and Jennifer were released from their duties as Associate Pastors at Sonshine Tabernacle and encouraged to fulfill the vision the Lord has given them to plant a church in Idaho, a church that places God first in all things, reaches the lost, encourages people to be all they can be in Christ, promotes healthy family relationships, equips the saints to do the work of the ministry and opens its' heart to radical praise and worship of the Lord.

Pastors Chuck and Jennifer moved to Nampa, Idaho and in May 2004. The vision the Lord had given to Pastors Chuck and Jennifer became Higher Ground Worship Center. Higher Ground began as a home church, which quickly grew.

Higher Ground Worship Center moved to a small storefront church with approximately (45) forty-five people, which also quickly grew. In February 2005, Higher Ground Worship Center was able to purchase a building, which they renovated. They ministered and grew the congregation to approximately (90-100) ninety to one hundred people. This was full capacity for the small building they had purchased.

In 2007 Higher Ground Worship Center sold their building at a profit and bought a plot of land of approximately 3 ¾ acres with the vision of building a new church. Once again the vision of Higher Ground Worship Center became a reality and the New Higher Ground Worship Center Church Building was built and occupied in January 2009. This new building is, in less than a year, at full capacity Sundays. Once again new programs are being implemented and Higher Ground Worship Center is growing and thriving. We are striving to be a blessing to the community in which the Lord has placed us. Higher Ground Worship Center looks forward with anticipation to continued growth, signifying souls saved and lives changed.
